الوصف الوظيفي 1. Frequently visit the plant and discuss relevant operational issues with respective OME teams. 2. Prepare and initiate any required Instrumentation Engineering design (i.e. capital vs. expense). 3. Coordinate instrumentation design package related site surveys by contractors/consultants for the development of instrumentation project’s design basis and work scope. 4. Recommend improvements to the instrumentation/system accuracy and availability. 5. Communicate with other Operations and Maintenance organizations to develop and/or upgrade control strategies and maintain/improve instrumentation equipment. 6. Participate in technical evaluations of the instrumentation performance and reliability by monitoring and analyzing the DCS Alarm Management data, operational data, preventive and unscheduled maintenance records and process trends to recommend changes as appropriate in maintenance standards and procedures (unscheduled and preventive). 7. Participate in investigations; analyze the cause of instrumentation failure by conducting required failure analysis studies to determine the cause of applicable instrumentation incident/near misses or breakdowns. Produce written reports documenting the failure, cause and provide sound recommendations to prevent future failures or incidents. 8. Provide technical assistance, guidance and coaching in troubleshooting instrumentation, DCS and operating parameters abnormalities. 9. Review the plant modifications for instrumentation system to maintain its high level performance. 10. Stay current with the latest technology and develop upgrade plans/proposals for instrumentation and control systems as applicable. 11. Review any proposed changes to instrumentation standards and manuals. 12. Review and analyze specific key performance indicators on regular basis to identify and recommend improvements. 13. Participate in HSE activities (such as plant walk through, and emergency drills and related facility audits) as required. 14. Participate in commissioning, start-up and testing of any new instrumentation projects (i.e. expense packages and/or modifications). 15. Review and discuss instrumentation system procedures and related equipment. 16. Support Operations and Maintenance during planned commissioning, start-up, emergency and shutdown activities. 17. Participate in any plant/unit performance testing. 18. Provide technical assistance during disaster and emergency situations. 19. Provide assistance to resolve emergency situations related to mechanical equipment arising in the Operations. 20. Review and comment on the maintenance procedures for all mechanical equipment including boilers & turbines. 21. Review and discuss the predictive and preventive maintenance plans and recommend enhancements for the instrument, control and shutdown systems. 22. Search and recommend alternatives for obsolete instrumentation replacement as required. 23. Review, update and discuss test procedures and objectives to be carried out on major equipment. 24. Consult with Maintenance Reliability and Process Control Engineers the proposals and requests made to enhance and address problems with the instrumentation. 25. Attend and Monitor the Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to ensure control system is compatible with instrumentation; also ensure all features of Foundation FieldBus are properly implemented. 26. Review project progress and provide recommendations to meet or beat project schedules and cost. 27. Review and provide input for the mid-year/year end Unit Operating plans and expenditures for mechanical works. 28. Review and comment on work process plan to improve/eliminate/reduce resources waste (i.e. cycle time, energy, cost) and enhance productivity. 29. Review and establish safe working practices and procedures within Instrumentation Systems. 30. Fully comprehend and adhere to relevant safety and environmental policies and procedures. 31. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor. Minimum Job Qualifications Requirement Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Certified as a Professional Engineer from a recognized Engineering institute. Certified on Work Process Improvement. Minimum Work Experience: Seven (7) years of related experience of which at least five (5) years in refining maintenance, engineering and project. المهارات 2. Adaptability and Innovation 3.
