Strategic Role:
Supervise a work force of 20-30 employees, directing all activities of the entire refining process of cane sugar, ensuring quality standards are met; the efficient use of energy (gas and steam), water, air and electric power. Promotes the safe operation of all processing equipment and actively participates in the facility safety program.
Operational Role:
Create shift schedules for team members.
Ensure achieving performance and production goals.
Assess individual team member abilities and aptitudes, incorporate into shift duties to promote happy employees and effective workflows.
Oversee all team members and ensure all duties and tasks are being performed efficiently and effectively during each shift.
Manage time off requests and unexpected no-show situations.
Facilitate disciplinary action when necessary (tardiness, etc.).
Maintain a work environment that encourages compliance with safety laws and employment guidelines
Set performance goals for individual team members, create reward systems and/or contests as needed
Ensure production goals are met.
Participate in weekly management meetings to discuss goals, progress, and any issues in need of resolution.
Reporting Role:
Operation shift report.
