Position overview:- The Environmental Manager is responsible for managing the environmental interface with the Client and the various Contractors on site, and for ensuring compliance of all construction activities with the Overall Construction Environmental Management Plan (OCEMP). The scope includes review of new work sites to ensure compliance with their CEMP, and review of Contractor method statements to ensure best environmental practice. IT will also include oversight of sample collection and review of results, a lead role in review of Environmental Impact Assessments and permit applications for new projects in consultation with the Client, and advise to other project members on environmental issues. The Environmental Manager will spend a significant amount of time on site observing conditions and Contractor activities to ensure that CEMP commitments are met, especially with regard to sensitive environmental issues such as dust control, mangrove areas, site cleanliness, vehicle maintenance facilities, and fuel storage facilities. The Environmental Manager will supervise the Environmental Officer and other environmental staff. It is anticipated that the group may eventually require an Environmental Technician to assist more with routine environmental sampling and inspections. Administrative support will be provided by sharing other Administrative Assistants available in the Logistics Team. Responsibilities :- · Environmental oversight: Deal with the administration of the CEMP submittal and review process for the Contractors. This will include verification of compliance with the OCEMP, as well as the review and approval of method statements and field verification of compliance with the method statements, either directly or through supervisory role over other environmental staff. · Reports: Compile environmental metrics for the environmental portion of the Logistics monthly report, and compile and publish the bi-weekly environmental reports for the Client. · Meeting Minutes: Document discussions in meetings and issue them expeditiously as required. · Other Duties: Coordinate directly with the Client’s Environmental Manager and miscellaneous other environmental assignments as requested by the Client or the Logistics Manager. المهارات · Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Environmental Management in Civil Engineering or construction related field with at least 20 years relevant experience. · Must be a Certified Safety Practitioner registered with an internationally recognized institution (ie.
