One of the fastest-growing retail companies in the Middle East is hiring a Chief Accountant for their Saudi operations.
Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
Ensure compliance with IFRS and tax regulations, and establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
Coordinate, complete, and ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure that there is a redundant process backup in place for every critical operation;
Maintain, implement, and develop a comprehensive manual of accounting SOPs to enhance the workflow of the department and ensure a high-class accounting system.
Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
Monitor emerging technology to determine ways to automate the accounting process without sacrificing accuracy and accountability.
Manage and control the execution of all accounting activities (general ledger, receivables, payables and invoicing).
Ensure the recording of inflows and processing of payments (corporate, payroll, etc).
Ensure accounts reconciliation including bank accounts and related party transactions.
Coordinate with external auditors and facilitate financial statement validation.
المهارات
Bachelor in Accounting.
CPA / CA / ACCA preferred.
Proven work experience in multi organizations’ accounting systems.
10+ years of overall combined audit and accounting experience.
5+ years of relevant experience.
Constructive knowledge of IFRS and IAS.
Strong analytical and managerial skills
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and details & results orientation.
Promoting process improvement.
Excellent knowledge in MS Office including Excel.
Fluent in English( bilingual preferred)
ERP (SAP) is a must
