About AE7: AE7 is a multi-disciplinary design firm with more than 300 creative professionals based in 11 offices across the globe. The firm works on a variety of projects, including: Master Planning, Destination Developments, Healthcare, Retail, Hospitality, Higher Education, Residential, Civic, Commercial, and Infrastructure.
About the Position(s): AE7 Riyadh is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work on international projects. Preferred candidates will have experience with projects of various sizes and scale.
Role Definition
Reporting to: Mechanical Department Head
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be expected to have a full knowledge and expertise in HVAC and Plumbing systems, LPG systems design, calculations, life cycle cost analysis, drawing production and report writing
Candidates shall have knowledge of ASHRAE, SBC, DM, DCD, DEWA, TRAKHES, EHS submission preparations to local authorities
Design according to local authorities standards and obtain necessary design NOC/s
To manage and coordinate the efficient production of documentation for multiple projects, simultaneously
Taking a lead role from concept design through construction documents
Preparing technical specifications
Regularly attend Client and authorities meetings
Coordinate with Architects, Structural Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Interior Designers, Landscape Designers, etc.
The candidate must be able to work well independently and to manage a team of mechanical engineers and mechanical Revit operators to successfully deliver projects on time and in budget
The candidate must be detail oriented and well organized with effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
To supervise the work of other members of the out-sourcing design team.

Qualities & skills required
Essential:
Mechanical Engineering Degree from a nationally accredited engineering program
Minimum 15 years of design experience
Experience working on small and large-scale projects
Experience with local authorities standards, regulations and design guidelines including obtaining design NOC/s
Demonstrated Proficiency with international building codes and standards, including the International Mechanical Code, International Plumbing Code, NFPA, BS-8301, and ASHRAE
Strong communication skills in writing and speaking, with high proficiency in English
Good report writing skills
Understanding multidisciplinary coordination
Experience in attending meetings with authorities and with clients
Ability to manage the workload of a team of engineers and Revit operators
Able to communicate with, and manage a mechanical out-sourcing design team and coordinate across disciplines to achieve quality and timelines
Carry out assignments as set out by AE7 Management.
Desirable:
Working knowledge of MS Office, Revit, Adobe
