The Assistant Package Manager is primarily responsible for the success of complex, high-priority projects. The Assistant Package Manager is also responsible for minute taking in meetings and workshops.
The Assistant Package Manager prepares the input in the weekly and monthly reports from the Discipline team. Interpret and review the project schedule for the logic of delivery and alignment with Project procedures and with the project planner to ensure the schedule is baselined and measured against.
• Periodic interface with the client PMC with the supervision of the main Package Manager.
• Manage and direct major projects successfully to budget and client specifications
• Display experience in the coordination, design and delivery of projects within multi-disciplinary engineering projects
• Lead, manage, develop and resource a team effectively
• Build and maintain trusting and effective client relationships, and deliver excellent client service
المهارات
Succeed in a similar role, with typically, 10+ years of relevant experience
Experience in Civil design, Roads, Water, Sanitation, SW (preferred all, but either one is minimum). I prefer design experience, even if it’s just in one of these fields. This will be an advantage. Structural design experience will also be considered, but civil preferred
15 years total of civil design experience with at least 5 years of project management working with multi-discipline teams.
High-level communication skills to advise and guide complex project design development in a proactive manner and to represent SJ as a valuable contributor to the project
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant design codes, Local Regulatory Authority Guidelines and Australian Standards
Ability to identify the appropriate resourcing for projects
Ability to identify requirements for skills development within the team
Fully conversant in Microsoft software, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, MS projects, P6 experience will be preferred (but not a criteria for exclusion).
