BASIC FUNCTION
To oversee and manage the commercial department, and the team members involved in the company’s projects and create bids for new projects, identify the risks and rewards of a project and collaborate with other departments to complete a project.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifying opportunities to expand business through mergers, partnerships, and new markets
Developing, planning, and implementing commercial plans and strategies
Taking responsibility for the financial management of projects
Developing accurate project bids with the help of other departments
Agreeing to timescales, costs, and resources for a project
Creating plans for each stage of a project
Negotiating with suppliers and contractors
Constantly monitoring progress, quality, and costs
Reporting regularly to executives about project progress
Oversee the contracts, bids, documentation, sales department, and purchase department
Supporting the Sales and Marketing department by conducting an analysis of commercial opportunities
Develop, plan and implement commercial plans and strategies
Understand the requirements of existing customers
Track, measure, and analyze commercial metrics using KPIs
Manage and track expenditures, financial goals, and budgets
Conduct thorough market research
Build relationships with clients and stakeholders
Support and collaborate with senior managers and executives
Develop and maintain a database of new tenders, opportunities, and clients within the region and ensure that the company is registered / pre-qualified
Communicate and liaise with 3rd party businesses, i.e. Supply chain and etc. (when needed)

QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Project Management or any related field
· +5 years of experience as a commercial director or in any related field
