On behalf of the fastest growing retail company in the Middle East our client is hiring a Senior Software Development Manager opportunity.
Based either in Kuwait or Saudi Arabia you will join a team that is disrupting the e-commerce market in the Middle East.
You will be part of a new exciting team who will be responsible for building next-generation e-commerce platforms and redefining how customers buy online. You will work with new technologies that improve usability and increase performance and scalability.
Help redefine normal for this market segment, translate business requirements to technical deliverables, and deliver an operationally stable solution that provides great customer experiences.
We’re looking for Managers that don’t just love solving challenging technical problems but care about whom we’re solving these problems for. You’ll work closely with a dedicated team of engineers. In addition to scaling our website, we are looking for managers who can solve problems from end to end.
Our engineers contribute to the full development stack, from data and schema storage to interactive JavaScript and everything in between.
Candidates must have strong independence, ownership, and passion to provide great customer experience and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with building web-based applications and/or web services-based applications is desired.

10+ years of industry experience.
2+ years leading a development team.
Strong Computer Science knowledge in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
Experience in an object-oriented language such as Java, C++, Ruby, etc.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience developing cloud software services and understanding scalability, performance, and reliability design.
Experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Experience leading in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
Experience influencing software engineers’ best practices within your team.
Demonstrated ability to mentor other software developers to maintain architectural vision and software quality.
The ability to take raw product requirements and develop software architectures and designs to bring them to life.
Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements and describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically from front-end user interfaces to back-end systems and all points in between.
Ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment.
Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong sense of ownership and willingness to have fun!
Previous experience building an e-commerce system is a plus.
