Geotechnical Principal Engineer

Primary Purpose of the Position

Provide technical service for successful completion of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversight of project teams ensure delivery time frames are met for deliverables such as rock slope

stability, and earthworks material acceptability assessments.

• Potential site investigations and supervision interpreting ground investigations; geological and

geomorphological mapping; detailed soil and rock logging, ground work investigations and

earthworks construction and contaminated land risk assessment.

• Review the design prepared in Detailed Design phase and prepares Construction Drawings to issue

it to the Contractor.

• Examine the sub-soil investigation reports, shop drawings, work plan/schedule, quality assurance

plan and methodology submitted by the Contractor and if found ok recommend it for approval.

• Construction supervision for geotechnical works including large scale earthworks, piling, soil nailing,

rock bolting.

• Timely preparation and submission of all necessary reports.

• Dealing with any other work assigned by supervisor.

Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Graduation in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering

• Preferable 15 years of working experience in Geotechnical field with

• Preferable 5 years’ experience in Embankment design and construction supervision
