You will advance the strategic goals of McKinsey s Real Estate practice by shaping, driving and executing the engagement strategy efforts in close collaboration with the director of client development services.
In this role, you will work closely with leaders to advance the practices goals through a broad range of initiatives. You will often provide expertise and guidance to your colleagues to influence communications efforts. You will have a broad remit to advance the reach and reputation of the practice as well as client engagement and internal engagement. You will be fundamental to our success which is about activating as many clients and colleagues as possible on the incredible impact opportunity in real estate.
You will own and develop strategic communications objectives and manage execution of our external communications strategy across all channels in collaboration with the director of client development services. You will proactively shape our industry narrative through energizing messaging, media, multimedia and other relevant channels that excite and engage our clients, colleagues and key audiences. You will realize these goals through a variety of channels including McKinsey.com, social media, traditional media, events, email campaigns and direct-to-client materials.
You will design and drive awareness and communications campaigns around key publicly named client impact stories, working closely with client service teams and real estate leadership. You will own our media relations strategy including proactively developing relationships with tier-one and trade publications and managing our spokesperson strategy. You will manage incoming media requests, identifying appropriate spokespeople and practice responses. You will manage any reputation risk issues, if they arise, in collaboration with the firm s reputation risk and media teams.
You will shape the practice s approach to events, both through speaking engagements on external platforms, as well as for McKinsey-led events for clients. You will develop a strategic plan to prioritize high-impact opportunities and then create a program to ensure high-quality participation and event execution. You will evolve and improve the program by tracking return on investment.
You will drive innovative, highly impactful internal storytelling efforts to bring Real Estate impact opportunities to the broader firm. To bring your plans to life, you will develop written content for priority campaigns and collaborate with a broad network of designers, photographers, videographers, social media experts, and external agencies.
