JOB SUMMARY:
To Provides tertiary level independent stroke service for patient with cerebrovascular disease in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Job Responsibilities:
1- Performing the professional duties of a subspecialist in accordance with the delineation of the scope of care and privilege as recommended by the chairman of the department and approved by credentials committee. 2- Performing his/her duties in the outpatient clinic according to CPP if KSMC OPD. 3- Providing the needed care to his/her patient in the ward. 4- Performing the needed procedures according to the privileging. 5- Providing consultation services to the in and outpatient services in his/her area of expertise. 6- Sharing in the on-call duties as per the duty schedule according to KSMC CPP. 7- Supervising the work of the assistant and/or associate consultants, professional development of the junior physicians and interns, and provides his/her evaluation of their work at the request 8- Assuring performing medical documentation and charting in legible and professional way to supervise the documentation of the rest of the team. 9- Working closely with colleagues. 10- Working as a member of the ream and to share administrative responsibilities. 11- Undertaking administration duties whenever needed associated with the care of his/her patient under the direction of the head. 12- Communicating clearly and effectively with colleagues and patients 13- Educating and counseling individuals, families, co-workers, educators, and other persons in the community regarding patient’s situation and the methods of care and treatment. 14- Participating in general undergraduate and post-graduate teaching within KSMC hospitals and faculty of medicine 15- Providing a regular teaching for the assistants and junior doctors attached to the unit. 16- Having theminimal requirements and knowledge to plan and undergo publications. 17- Participating actively in all reach activity in his/her division and department 18- Working to have appropriate scientific publications. 19- Contributing to local audits to ensure appropriate up-to-date care is delivered and working constructively to improve the quality of area, minimum of 1 audit a year is required for appraisal. 20- Participating and contributing to all the quality assurance activities of the services. 21- Contributing to the prevention and controlling of the infection through standard infection control practices and compliance with the KSMC infection control polices in order to ensure the highest quality of care to patients 22- Taking advantage of continuing professional developing events taking place both in and out KSMC 23- Developing skills and special interests which will enhance the performance of the department as a whole Job Requirements
Required Qualification
1- Graduated of MBBS from an approved medical school by SCFHS and Saudi Ministry of higher education. 2- Completed the residency training and hold the Saudi board certificate or its equivalent’s (e.g. Arab board, American board, and Canadian board). 3- Subspecialty fellowship training in cerebrovascular diseases or stroke in a recognized training program.
Required License / Certificates
1 year of internship in a recognized training program.
Required Experiences
