Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Coordinates Medical Affairs projects, liaises and provides administrative support to the project leaders and champions. Maintains follow-up on projects and coordinates implementation in a timely manner.
2. Maintains records of the complete, ongoing and future projects and provides status reports to Medical Affairs Administration.
3. Compiles data on physician performance and practice and provides status reports to Medical Affairs Administration and department chairman.
4. Facilitates the development of performance improvement plans related to physician performance and practice.
5. Prepares physician performance reports that support department leadership and/or executive management decision-making on department activities, achievements, staff evaluation and/or re-contracting process.
6. Utilizes a variety of software. Liaises with Healthcare Information Technology Affairs (HITA) to develop, modify, and maintain databases related to Medical Affairs projects and physician performance and practice activities. Informs HITA of departmental needs and priorities, and provides necessary information.
7. Provides administrative assistance in such matters as preparation of budget requests and submissions.
8. Networks with other areas to identify opportunities to improve joint issues.
9. Participates on committees, task forces and teams as requested.
10. Participates in Hospital-wide quality improvement plans as required.
11. Participates in self and others education, training and development, as applicable.
12. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.
13. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education
Master s or Bachelor s Degree in Hospitals Management or any related discipline is required.
Experience Required
Two (2) years of related experience with Master s Degree or four (4) years of related experience with Bachelor s
