Summary
Assists with the procurement, maintenance and transportation, cleaning and sterilizing of respiratory equipment and supplies.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Maintains respiratory stock levels for Intenasive Care Units and Pulmonary Function Laboratory.
2. Assesses and orders warehouse stock requests into computerized inventory system .
3. Receives stock supplies from warehouse and assists with distribution to all Respiratory Care Services (RCS) areas.
4. Assesses stock and supplies and maintains RCS database for the annual physical inventory.
5. Performs quarterly inspection of all Hospital RCS intubation code boxes (except ICUs) to ensure that all devices are present and in good working condition.
6. Orders respiratory medical gases as required.
Education
High School Education is required.
Experience Required
No experience is required (on job training).
Other Requirements(Certificates)
- Formal training in Respiratory Care or any related discipline is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical consumable supplies including Oracle process preferred.
- Knowledge of handling medical gas cylinders preferred.
- Experience in cleaning and sterilization practices preferred
