Essential Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Develop and lead the implementation of the organizational SME strategy and ensure the operational self-sufficiency of the SME Department in the long run.
To lead manage and coordinate the SME field staff in order to achieve the organizational goals.
To ensure the establishment of proper tools of monitoring the portfolio quality of individual staff and identify areas of incompetence and take necessary actions.
Provide guidance to the SME field staff on a daily basis on different operational aspects.
Provide mentoring and on-the-job training to the field staff regarding business analysis checking of guarantors checking of collaterals preparation of appropriate documentation for loan origination follow-up etc.
Develop and implement loan delinquency policies and procedures such that write-offs are reduced to a minimum while maintaining the reputation of the institution.
Ensure proper verifications of SME loans before presenting them to the Credit Committee.
Spearhead SME product branch expansion strategy
Provide support to Mutahid senior management as required.

Key responsibilities
Develop and maintain own contacts with individuals within customers’ organizations.
Co-ordinate introduction to and from other areas of the Barclays Group where appropriate and monitor the outcome.
Assist with development of and revisions to Customer Relationship Plan.
Monitor level of customer service and satisfaction.
Develop and maintain links with the local business community and support Relationship Management in the same activity
• Conduct research to identify potential new customers and maintain a database of potential customers.
Arrange and undertake product presentations where appropriate.
Monitor leads and coordinate information for the Relationship Management on the overall portfolio.
Collate customer-produced financial information.
Facilitate the creation of Credit Applications.
Prepare facility letters and coordinate the execution of documentation and drawdown of facilities.
Support review of reference list and other risk reports.
Attend Relationship Team meetings and contribute fully, including suggestions for ways of improving customer service.
Contribute to an environment of mutual support by sharing knowledge with other team members.
Technical & Competencies
Degree in business studies is preferable
Basic keyboard skills.
Proficient in the use of internal computer systems.
