الوصف الوظيفي
1.  Uses Translation Memories, term bases, and specialized dictionaries and glossaries to ensure the consistency of the translated materials.

2.  Ensures that the meaning is accurately conveyed.

3.  Ensures that the translated text is cohesive and coherent.

4.  Self-checks translated materials for grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy prior to their submission.

5.  Uses resources effectively.

6.  Plans to meet the deadlines.

7.  Shares knowledge with colleagues.

8.  Maintains a positive attitude all the time in the workplace.

9.  Performs other duties, as required.

المهارات
Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in translation is required; Master’s degree in a language-related discipline is preferred. A degree in any other field from a recognized institution of higher education with a minimum of 2 years of full time professional experience in translation, or five years of full time professional experience in translation may substitute.

B. Experience: A minimum of one-year experience as a translator (in addition to the experience required above for non-English translation bachelor’s holders) is a must. Previous military service is preferred.

C. Specific knowledge, skill, and ability requirements:  Fluency in both English and Arabic languages is required. Detailed knowledge of Arabic military and technical terminology is preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) Tools with emphasis on SDL Trados is highly desired. Must possess the ability to work to deadlines. Must have excellent communication skills and time management skills.
