Responsible for the evaluation and management of pediatric patients particularly in the field of Emergency Medicine.
Education / Qualification Required:
• Basic medical degree from recognized institution
• Post-qualification certification
• Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.
• USA: The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
• Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (RCPS-C)
• UK and Ireland: GMC/CCST Specialist Register
• Australia and New Zealand: Fellowship from the Royal College (FRACP)
• Western Europe: Equivalent certification to the above
Experience Post-Qualifications:
• Minimum Three (3) years after board / equivalence certification in USA, Canada, Ireland, UK, Australia, New Zealand and France (DES).
• Minimum Five (5) years after board / equivalence certification in Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Austria, Netherlands, Greece and France (DIS).
License:
Current and in a Good Standing Medical License to practice in country of residence.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Chairman to assure appropriate, safe and quality care is provided to the pediatric patients who present to the Emergency Department
• Maintains and enhances professional knowledge and skills to provide optimal care to pediatric patients
• Must be capable of evaluating and stabilizing patients in the Emergency Department who present with programs within their area of competency
• Must be responsible for the overall medical care of the patient, including medical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment plans including disposition
• Must produce legible and appropriate medical record
• Must participate in ongoing CME activities, intradepartmental, interdepartmental and annual conferences bases
• Participate in an active Quality Assurance program to monitor and evaluate Emergency Department Care
• Maintain an equitable group scheduling process that provides adequate coverage to the Emergency Department
• Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures
• Participates in self and other s education, training and development, as applicable
• Performs any other related duties as assigned
