Participates in dispensing of pharmaceuticals for in-patients and out-patients.
Communicates with the prescribers regarding any information or abnormality.
Compounds/manufacture medications that are not available in the Pharmacy and/or prescribed by some prescribers, i.e. Dermatologists.
Performs activities assigned to Pharmacy Technicians, when a Technician is not on duty or is busy with other important duties.
Supervises Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistant/Aides and assist in their training.
Monitors the stock situation of pharmaceuticals in the shelves, check expiry date and prepares list of medications to be ordered from Pharmacy Store.
Provides drug information to Doctors, Nurses and any other prescribers.
Advises out-patients and in-patients on correct administration of medicines and helps patient education.
Collects various statistical data regarding dispensing of medications which is needed for monthly activity report.
المهارات
Experience of unit-dose system.
Good command of written and spoken English (and Arabic if possible).
Interest in computers.
