Duties and Responsibilities

2.1 Abides by the Medical Staff By-Laws, Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff and those specific to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Department.

2.2 Provides the highest attainable standard of medical care for the patients for whom

he/she is responsible.

2.3 Carries out full range of clinical duties in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the Outpatient Clinic, as assigned by the Asst. DMS for Clinical and Director of Medical Services in accordance with individually approved clinical privileges.

2.4 Participates in the on-call duties as required by the department.

2.5 Teaches staff assigned for training purposes and participates with the Chief of

Pediatrics.

2.6 Participates in the improvement of quality of patient care (CQI&PS;Programme) as applicable.

2.7 Fulfills the requirements of the Saudi Council for Health Specialities with regard to

continuing medical education.

5.3 Ability to speak, write and read Arabic and English.
