الوصف الوظيفي Performs his/her duties and tasks as per Hospital Policy and Agreement on Professional Code of Conduct. Actively participates in all quality and performance improvement activities within the department/service and within the hospital as per Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Plan. Actively participates in all the education requirement and activities as per the Hospital Education Program. Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the scope of practice and employment contract. Abides by the medical staff bylaws, code of medical ethic, result and regulation of the medical staff and those specific to the department / division. Provides the highest attainable standard of medical care for the patients for whom he/she irresponsible. Uses skilled observation technique and/or administer and interpret tests and measurements to identify appropriate occupational therapy treatment for ASD patients referred to the service. Plans and carry out appropriate treatment programs for ASD patients individual or group session. Assess the need for and use of interventions such as the design, development, and adaptation, application or training in the use of assistive technology devices. Liaises with occupational therapy workshop or Bio-engineering staff as appropriate regarding the provision of special equipment needed by individual patients. Provides information and education patients and their relatives prior to discharge from the hospital on relevant matters such as the provision and use of assistive equipment, and on-going patient therapy/management requirements: interview appropriate family members regarding home circumstances. Liaises with the social Services Department for financial assessments relating to the provision of equipment and grants. Liaises and coordinate with the occupational therapists domiciliary visiting assistance, to facilitate patient’s ongoing care and development carry out pre-discharge visit as required. Supervises any occupational therapists Aides. Trainees or technicians as may be assigned, providing them with instruction and direction in the performance if their work tasks. Maintains appropriate and accurate records regarding patients medical and social history, treatment programs, progress and discharge plans as required. Provides relevant input to Quality assurance in departmental meetings and or any Quality committee meeting. المهارات Good standard of oral and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in spoken Arabic or ability/willingness to learn spoken Arabic. To establish rapport and empathy with patients and their relatives and to motivate the patient to achieve their maximum leave of potential. Effective communication skills, and ability to relate well to other health professionals and patient relatives Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
