Duties and Responsibilities
Performs his/her duties and tasks as per Hospital Policy and .Agreement on Professional Code of Conduct
Actively participates in all quality and performance improvement activities within the department/service and within the hospital as perQualityImprovementandPatient Safety Plan.
Actively participatesinallthe education requirement and activitiesas per the Hospital Education Program.
Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned withinthe scope of practice and employment contract.
Utilizesthe nursing process to plan, implement and evaluate patient’s care inaccordance with the established Policies and Guidelines.
Performs a variety of nursing measures based on patient needs related to physical and mental comfort, positioning and mobilization, nutrition and hydration, bowel and bladder elimination, care of the wound care, support of respiration, hygiene, communication and fulfilling other fundamental needs of the patient.
Administers medications under the supervision of the Head Nurse/ Assistant Head Nurse or the Charge.
Establishes therapeutic relationships with patients/families and elicits their participation in care
.Utilizes the services of a Nursing Interpreter to ensure effective communication.
Ensures patient confidentiality is maintained and patient rights are upheld.
Participates in the planning and provision of patient and family teaching relative to their understanding of the illness and treatment. Collaborates with other healthcare team members to develop patient’s education plan.
Communicates and provides accurate and complete information through established verbal and written reports.
Establishes and develops effective communications with all staff of other disciplines, patients and relatives.
Performs other applicable tasks and duties within the realm o1 his/her knowledge. skills and abilities.
المهارات
Fluencyandcomprehensionin written and spoken English.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge in rendering nursing procedure and care to patient needs.
Knowledge of continuous quality improvement.
