الوصف الوظيفي Abides by the Medical Staff By-Laws, Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff and those specific to the department. Uses clinical skills and methods appropriate to dental management and establishes a plan of action in the patient’s best interest. Refers patients for appropriate specialist opinion or treatment as deemed necessary for the patient. Follow-up those patients with ongoing or chronic dental problems or when a therapeutic response requires evaluation. Carries out other clinical duties as assigned by the Chief of Dental Services in accordance with approved clinical privileges for General Dentists. Teaches staff assigned for training purposes, and participates with the Chief of Dental Services and Head of Medical Education in planning a programme of career development for trainees. Participates in the improvement of Quality of Patient Care (CQI&PS;Programme, Quality Assessment Improvement Programme), as applicable. Fulfills the requirements of the Saudi Council for Health Specialties with regard to continuing medical education. Job Description: Participates in and/or actively supports approved research projects. Deputizes for his superior as required and shares workload in his specialty during the absence of his colleagues. Participates in the forward planning, and further development of the department. Serves on hospital committees as requested. Strives to improve his clinical expertise as well as standard of practice with regard to morbidity and cost-effectiveness.
