Directs all technical activities in Radiology. Responsible for the administration and coordination of all activities related to technical and support staff.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Directs technical operations and activities within Radiology.
2. Co-evaluates supervisors and directs staff’s performance, recommends merit increase as appropriate.
3. Ensures adequate quality checks and controls are in place to maintain the highest service standards.
4. Oversees section and/or orientation of new employees. (Non-medical).
5. Under the direction of the Chairman, maintains annual budget for technical component.
6. Participates in assessing capital equipment needs.
7. Supervises and resolves technical and administrative issues related to technical and support staff of the department.
8. Liaises under Chairman’s supervision with stakeholders/customers.
9. Assures availability of highly competent, professional technical/support staff.
10. Oversees training and educational activities of non-medical staff.
11. Assists in developing hospital policies and procedures related to the department.
12. Participates in department strategic planning process.
13. Helps in developing plans and implementing revenue generation initiatives consistent with Medical Affairs objectives.
14.Ensures safe working environment.
15. Participates in self and others’ education, training and development as applicable.
16. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.
17. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education
Ph.D., Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Radiological Sciences, or related discipline required from an accredited program.
Experience Required
- Six (6) Years of related experience with Ph.D. degree including at least three (3) years in a related senior or supervisory position.
- Ten (10) Years of related experience with Master s degree including at least three (3) years in a related senior or supervisory position.
- Twelve (12) Years of related experience with Bachelor s degree including at least three (3) years in a related senior or supervisory position.
Other Requirements(Certificates)
- Registration with applicable Professional Board, if expatriate.
- Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent is required for Non-Saudis.
