Job Purpose
A private chef is responsible for preparing and cooking meals for the whole family and maintain the kitchen area in a clean and tidy condition.
Principal Accountabilities
Responsible for the preparation of all food preparation.
Prepare meals according to the Family recipes or tastes, handling all meals for the family and possibly for other household staff.
Controls all served menu items and makes sure proper presentation standards.
Monitors the cleaning and disinfection of work areas, utensils, equipment.
Detects and ensures disposition of spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment, and/or other unusual conditions.
Monitors and controls products shelf life and prevents product expiration (FIFO)
Ensures compliance with Household policies and procedures.
Makes sure commitment in recipes and kitchen charts as well as the portioning details
Controls Waste and works on proper food production chart level.
Performs Kitchen Checklist in order to determine deviations and to set action plans with the communication of.
Sets the detailed Cleaning schedule with the coordination of the Facilities Manager.
Responsible for the purchases of food and nonfood items from local markets.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
المهارات
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in kitchen preferably in reputable organization, diploma in Hotel Management, kitchen section is a plus.
Excellent leadership skills and the ability to lead by example in a multicultural environment.
Trust and confidentiality habits are a must.
Good oral and written English, other language is a plus.
Physical Requirements of the job
· The job of the Private Chef requires physical capacity and flexibility in attendance.
