POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under direct supervision, contributes to the structural engineering activities for all functions within the assigned Parsons’ KKIA Expansion Project. Completes assigned structural engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within one discipline. The Engineer at this level is a junior-level professional and familiar with most engineering theories and practices. Working knowledge of CAE (computer aided engineering)/CAD (computer aided design) applications is a plus.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Should be familiar with the structural design of buildings including foundations and lateral stability systems and possess the willingness to assist in the preparation of up-to-date industry-standard structural analysis/design packages.
Should have experience in assisting with quality reviews and interdisciplinary checking procedures and report writing.
Should be capable in replying to post contract queries and addressing construction/site issues in a practical and expedient manner.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Recognized degree in structural engineering (or related field) and 5 years of professional experience on buildings. Airport terminal experience preferred.

Good written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are a plus. Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is desired. A familiarity with company policies and procedures is preferred, as well as a demonstrated ability to execute a variety of activities simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines
