Overall Purpose:
Oversee all accounting activities at the company including general ledger, fixed assets, accounts receivable/payable, and credit control. Assure the provision of support to regional accounting teams.
Key Accountabilities:
Managerial Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day management and supervision to section heads and direct reports and support them in achieving their operational objectives. Supports in monitoring KPIs relevant to the area to control the performance against objectives and targets.
Ensures the policies and procedures are created, implemented and aligned to the corporate policies
Prioritizes and supports in allocating budgets and resources
Actively manage talent management programs in own department to maximize employee performance and development.
Functional Responsibilities:
Contribute to setting the department’s operational plans and ensure the cascading of such to the employees’ individual objectives.
Supervise implementation and contribute to continuous improvement of the department’s policies, procedures and processes in line with best practices and the company’s strategy.
Provide input for the department’s budgeting process and manage the budget in own department.
Ensure the company’s accounting transactional activities in compliance with the company’s policies, procedures, governance and standards, and following the related regulations and laws.
Manage general accounting activities such as cash management, fixed assets, financial reporting, balance sheet ( accounts receivable and payable) and assure the efficiently delivery.
Coordinate with other related internal entities and ensure the timeliness and accuracy of data shared for monthly closing reports and year end financial statements.
Oversee the management of revenues to identify any revenue leakages or other cash variables and manage security procedures to limit any kind of fraud.
Liaise with internal/ external auditors, provide the required data and inputs to facilitate the auditing process.
Ensure compliance with VAT and WHT requirements.
Assure proper controls are in place to safeguard the interest of the company.
Ensure monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, intercompany accounts and GL with sub-ledgers.

Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
8+
