Interprets and advises the country operations on policies and procedures impacting on international and local procurement and delivery. Maintains links with supply chain office on transnational shipments, deliveries, claims and appropriateness of supplies. • Conducts market research, identifies and recommends potential local suppliers. Maintains data on and evaluates local supply sources’ overall performance, (competitive pricing, product quality and timely delivery). Assesses supply operations and control mechanisms and advises on appropriate actions. • Supervises staff in the preparation and implementation of the section’s work-plan as per supply chain manager instructions. • Oversees the overall preparation of appropriate documentation • Acts as secretary and adviser to the supply chain manager. • Undertakes field visits to project sites and sub-offices, to monitor supply inputs and proposes actions on improving logistical procedures. Prepares trip reports for the head-of-supply-chain. • Designs and conducts training for ORGANIZATION’s staff / consultants and counterparts in supply management, in order to improve supply delivery. • Ensures preparation of supply status reports required for management reports, budget reviews, projects analysis, annual reports, etc. • Participates in new project supply chain management and emergency response strategy planning preview and review meetings to advise on supply requirements. Assists in developing the supply component and emergency response, including systems for the procurement and distribution of supplies to all project sites. • Responsible for Supply Planning through coordination with operations. Provides technical advice on procurement specifications and supply administration. When required, develops plans for emergency supply assistance, in accordance with Policies and Guidelines. • Develops and implements logistics planning through coordination with logistic department, provides technical advice / supervisors, logistics arrangements, facilitating efficient clearance, storage and distribution of supplies and equipment to end-users from ports of entry and warehouses. • Maintains coordination with the central Supply Divisions, on supply policies. Interprets and advises supply chain departments on policies and procedures, impacting on delivery and utilization of supplies and equipment. • Under the supervision of supply, designed chain manager, Identifies training needs and develops training activities in supply management for staff / consultants and counterparts, to improve supply delivery • Some knowledge of purchasing procedures, warehouse operations, and accounting principles and general ledger codes. • Ability to manage multiple tasks with constant interruptions. • Must have good data entry skills and be proficient with Excel and Word. • Ability to be trained in some accounting areas including encumbrances and general ledger codes • Ability to maintain a professional relationship with vendors, coworkers and other staff necessary. • Strong supervisory and management skills • Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills • Computer proficiency, especially with spreadsheets and database software تفاصيل الوظيفة https://www.bayt.com/ar/saudi-arabia/jobs/supply-chain-officer-4315739/ |
