You will maintain positive and proactive relations with our Client, key stakeholders and employees of the business by means of assisting with the ongoing day-to-day provision of Risk Analysis support, advice, training, and reporting functions.
Responsible for inspecting buildings to ensure they are up to fire control standards. Detect possible fire hazards and issue warnings if buildings are not in compliance.
Inspect buildings and structures to identify potential fire hazards.
Ensure buildings are equipped with fire control equipment, including fire extinguishers.
Locate fire code violations.
Recommend actions to bring properties into compliance.
Conduct inspections onsite.
Check for accumulations of combustible material, electrical wiring problems, and inadequate or non-functional fire exits.
Test fire protection systems.
Ensure buildings are in accordance with appropriate laws, codes, ordinances, regulations, and standards.
Write and file reports.
Inspect properties that store, handle, and use hazardous materials to ensure compliance with laws, codes, and regulations.
Keep abreast of current fire safety codes and firefighting procedures.
Conduct practice fire drills.
Evaluate evacuation procedures.
Determine causes of fire.
Present and explain fire code requirements and fire prevention information to engineers and construction workers.
Collect and prepare evidence and present it in court.
Issue and update permits.
Serve condemnation notices when fire code violations are not corrected.
Install fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
Replace defective fire detection equipment.

Support programme of documented inspections, audits and checks.
Assist and conduct a structured programme of fire safety training (including a well-developed induction program) for client, project staff, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders.
Support with all aspects of relevant fire safety standards and communicate relevant changes to the stakeholders.
Provide and assist in regular reports to the Head of Programme on relevant fire inspection activities.
Participate in regular site meetings to report on relevant fire inspection matters and to provide necessary advice.

QUALIFICATIONS:
NFPA Fire Inspector 1 & 2 or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
At least 3 years of experience as a fire inspector.
A proven track record of experience for completing fire inspections in a range of site risks.
Proficient in the use of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), contract management software and experience in handling web-based management systems.
Desirable:
Experience in health & safety and environment management is an asset
Experience working in Middle East.
Training delivery experience.
Budgetary experience
Training Requirement
Must meet all qualification requirements at the application stage, no further training provided.
Lines of Communication
Must have an ability to work closely with other Senior Managers across the Client’s business units as well as Head Office. Must be comfortable operating in a multi-cultural workplace.
Working Condition
Based in Riyadh with a requirement to travel across the Kingdom to visit client sites as required.
