Responsibilities
Develops, coordinates and deploys all foreign trade and customs compliance programs.
Develops processes, policies and operational targets to meet service levels and ensure compliance.
ensures efficient international logistics services together with stakeholders to meet service/cost objectives.
Ensures compliance with all customs and foreign trade compliance regs to mitigate risk and minimize delays.
Leads process optimization projects with service providers to ensure continuous improvement.
Serve as a liaison for broker and suppliers to resolve import compliance issue and ensure shipments are delivered timely.
Working with the unit head of the organization and checking, studying and examining various methods and procedures of importation.
Updating himself/herself about the various rules, policies and programs of customs alongside upholding compliance with sectional modulations of the organization.
Completing all other operational undertakings and workings related to the imports of the organization and ensuring their compliance with the general policies of the same.
· Negotiating documented agreements for the delivery and management of products and commodities.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required; at least 20 years’ experience in Customs Compliance/Import/Export Operations, freight forwarding, international logistic Preferably in Food service industries.
Licensed Customs Broker preferred
Knowledge of international customs regulation and requirements like duties, taxes, rebates, letter of credit and related field will be preferred.
Ability to manage and handle multiple projects at once, often under tight deadlines; a self-starter and go getter attitude.
Self-starter with proven ability leading a team/direct report(s) and fostering relationships and rapport with large number of contacts involved in various external organizational functions in a remote environment.
Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
Strong detail-orientated skills without losing sight of the big picture
Working knowledge of standard logistics processes
English language is a must written and spoken.
