Secretarial Support Unit - Rc Administrative Section
Summary
Provides complete support for all office activities for the supervisor of the assigned area.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1.Serves as primary contact for persons seeking appointments with the assigned supervisor arranging such appointment to avoid unnecessary interruption with the supervisor schedule and referring visitors or tale hone callers to subordinate personnel as necessary.
2. Screens incoming & re routines tone r -unit s -fo r -a-colo n -wher e -appropriate.
3. Provides routine information from records to other organizational units as requested .
4. Initiates a variety of correspondences reports and records, some of which contain confidential information/data.
5. Maintains confidentiality of information and correspondence.
6. Types documents reports and correspondence.
7. Utilizes computers for variety of activities.
8. Maintains knowledge and record of current Hospital policies and procedures.
9. Participates in Department/Unit specific and Hospital wide quality improvement plan as required.
Education
High school education and formal training in (M Word, MS Exc & MS ) required.
Experience Required
Two (2) years of secretarial experience required.
