Job Title: Simulator and Training Devices Specialist

JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government s nominated Prime Contractor (PC) under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. For such maintenance and training this role is responsible to the Director of Maintenance and Engineering through the specialist officer for the following duties in respect of simulators and training devices.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Providing technical advice on procurement, operation and maintenance.
• Monitoring performance, identifying trends and proposing remedial actions to resolve identified problems.
• Evaluating, advising on and monitoring provision of support equipment, AGE, publications and facilities.
• Reviewing proposals for modifications and developing modification and servicing programmes.
• Producing draft reports and letters to direct other agencies to resolve problems and implement RSAF policies.
• Acting as the focal point within the Directorate for all Simulator and training device matters and co-ordinating responses and actions with other specialists as required.
• Advising and assisting other RSAF departments and specialists as required. Reviewing statements of work for facilities to support simulators and training devices.
• Advising on RSAF and contractor manning requirements for operation and maintenance.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
• Extensive experience in the development or maintenance of simulators or training devices or similar computer driven equipment.
• Ability to prepare clear and concise briefs, reports and letters is essential.
• The individual should have an appropriate City and Guilds certificate, HNC or HND or equivalent.
