JOB SUMMARY: Service and repair opening and closing mechanisms of automatic sliding doors
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Repair or replace worn or broken electrical and mechanical automatic sliding doors parts, i.e. door rollers, driving belts,
electrical motors, frames / rails adjustments, infrared sensors adjustments.
2. Inspect on daily basis the different sites and departments’ automatic sliding doors, assess their working status, and order
the required spare parts for preventative corrective maintenance before to reduce sliding door operational failure.
3. Adjust doors to open or close with the correct amount of effort, and make simple adjustments to electric openers.
4. Support the electrical team with any assigned job.
5. Clean door closer parts, using caustic soda, rotary brushes, and grinding wheels.
6. Ability to be organized and flexible in stressful and emergency situations.
7. Ability to do work on his own with only normal supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
1. Minimum of five (5) years in electro-mechanical sliding door repair and maintenance
2. Completion of technical training program in electro-mechanical
3. Effective communication both oral and written English language

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be able to climb, crawl, stoop, climb ladders, and walk beams. Must be able to lift and carry tools and materials
weighing in excess of 50 pounds and be able to raise and carry with assistance items weighing 200 pounds.
2. Must be able to work from high ladders and scaffolding.
3. Must be able to work safely in close proximity to moving and working equipment.
4. Must be available to work on an on-call basis in cases of emergency.
