الوصف الوظيفي Experience: 5 Years+ Relevant Experience Job Location: Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Start: ASAP Dear Consultant, My clients a large international banking institution based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. They are urgently seeking 2x experienced IBM Mainframe Cobol Developer for the banks on a long-term basis. Role Brief The team is responsible in building state of art banking solutions to address the needs of ever-changing customer and business requirements. As part of the team, candidate will be responsible from gathering business requirements to deploying the solutions in a rapidly changing environment. المهارات 1. Collaborate with business analysts and developers to provide solution design 2. Formulate program specifications, design, and prototype modules to understand the feasibility 3. Articulate design solutions to management providing insights to feasibility, criticality, and performance 4. Transform designs and specifications into high functioning codes with COBOL and related IBM Mainframe technologies 5. Integrate single/ individual solutions to APIs 6. Continuous testing and verification in various environments like SIT and UAT 7. Ensure code is error free, readable, efficient, performance oriented, modularized, and logically organized for ease of access and understanding 8. Aptly name variables and include comments wherever possible for future users 9. Actively participate in business and design discussions 10. Provide operational manual in layman’s terms 11. Make sure existing re-usable codes and functions are used before creating new one 12. Perform bug fixing and operational assistance when needed Preferred Attributes: 1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, programming, computer science or related field 2. 10 plus years of IT experience with more than 8 years in relevant technologies 3. Hands on experience and excellent coding skill in COBOL, DB2, CICS and JCL 4. Familiar with ‘changeman’ version control tools 5. Excellent oral and written communication in English 6. Professional and accountable for the work/ task performed 7. Strong independent work ethic 8. Team player 9. A problem solver and solution provider 10. Detail oriented 11. Excellent analytical mindset and critical thinking 12. Knowledge of banking business and/ or ‘IT in Banking’ is preferred 13. Knowledge XML parsing in COBOL/ CICS is preferred 14. Knowledge of IBM MQ is preferred 15. Concepts of micro-services/ ESB is preferred 16.
