Role Summary
Job Description and Requirements:
SAR is looking for a Senior System Administrator to be responsible for managing the configuration of MS Exchange, domain controller, AD, designing, implementing, optimizing storage, backup and end-user account management solutions. Also, performing ongoing resource optimization, performance tuning, verifying hardware availability and integrity, and introducing improvements to current infrastructure services.
Key Accountabilities:
Complies with all relevant quality, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy work environment.
Manages the configuration of Exchange, domain controller and AD.
Manages firewall (WAF, Internet), Load balancer, Proxies, SIEM, Antivirus, Endpoint. Having IDPS fundamentals is a plus.
Remains abreast of regional and international trends in infrastructure services design methods.
Design and implements storage, backup and archiving systems.
Performs infrastructure services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Conducts in depth analysis of current capabilities; generates capability analysis reports and shares them with the IT management.
Manages the configuration and installation of operating systems and virtualization (e.g., Windows, Linux, VMware,)
Oversees the deployment of directory and messaging services and defines their technology specifications.
Defines and configures DHCP, DNS, WINS and group policy management.
Drives the design, implementation, and support of end-user account management solution.
Upgrades and maintains Email services (i.e. email system and email gateway) and ensure their regular backup.
Observes confidentiality procedures as necessary and tracks documentation to ensure security and control.
Defines, reviews, and validates the technical requirements of the tenders.
Resolves day to day operational and administrative issues.
المهارات
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
Relevant certification in server administration, virtualization and server consolidation (MCSA,MCTS, SQL Server, … etc).
Relevant certification in applicable Storage and Backup Systems (SNCP, EMCSA, IBM Certified Specialist etc.) is a plus.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum 4 years of hand-on experience in IT system administration, storage, and backup fields.
Experience in information security or related field.
Experienced in handling the design and implementation of IT infrastructure, storage, backup, email, exchange, and servers projects.
Competencies
Effective communication skills.
Meticulous attention to details.
Good knowledge in information security policies, processes, and procedures.
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of IT systems/applications.
Solid knowledge in system administration, email, exchange, backup, storage, IT network, and IT applications.
Good knowledge and understating of firewall (WAF, Internet), Load balancer, Proxies, SIEM, Antivirus, Endpoint, and IDPS concepts.
