We are looking for Network Planning Supervisor for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Job Description and Requirements SAR is looking for a qualified Network Planning Supervisor to be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of Network Timetabling; Access planning, Train performance reporting and high-level Network capacity studies. The Network Planning Supervisor is a leading role which requires in depth knowledge and understanding of Network planning, Capacity, Engineering Access and performance. The role requires leading and mentoring skills to develop planning engineers. An ideal candidate will have strong communication skills as this job requires to communicate within internal stakeholders i.e. SAR Engineering, Passenger Business Unit, Mineral & Cargo Business Unit, Infrastructure Maintenance, SAR Projects and Rolling Stock Maintenance. As well as external such as Public Transport Authority, Royal Commission, Ma’aden and SAR External Contractors. Key Accountabilities: In-depth knowledge of train planning systems and processes. Influence the successful development and delivery of the timetable by supporting planners to positively act on performance feedback, to create “Zero defect” timetables from which no delays are attributable to the timetable plan. Identify and define appropriate training by working with the training team or by providing mentoring or coaching in line with the Network Planning development plans with the aim of improving planning proficiency. Use multiple sources of detailed data, including on train monitoring (black box) data where available, modelling or undertaking site visits and timing runs to calculate and create timetable planning rules (TPR) for the SAR network so that the timetable produced is efficient and robust. Support enhancements projects to develop robust TPRs through work with project teams and scheme sponsors. Build capability within the team so that plans (Access and Timetables) are produced that make best use of available network capacity to support all access requirements in line with SAR business. Development of network capacity plans and studies to meet future capacity challenges. Plan and manage the development of the Engineering Access Plans.
