Job Description and Requirements The Senior Engineer will assist the team of Engineers and it is expected that he / she will take responsibility for ensuring that all design work is produced on time and in accordance with the project quality requirements Job Duties: Responsible for the preparation and review of design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documents for the design projects. Responsible for the participation in the progress and coordination meetings of the design projects and the preparation of the meeting records. Liaison and coordination with all applicable Local Authority Departments to obtain approval on design projects. Review of works produced by the engineers and the necessary coordination with other AECOM Engineers as applicable for the continuity of the design projects. Responsible for the design review of the services. Participation in design review meetings and workshops. Preparation of design review reports and meeting records. Visit regulalry site to ensure that the works being carried out are in accordance with the design and specification. Professional Development: Maintain, develop and retain the highest appropriate standard of technical skill. Commit to continual professional development and learning on relevant technological, business and human relationship matters. Client Relationships: Maintain and develop Client relationship. Lay down precise information about work scope from the client and get it mutually agreed. Contributes to client satisfaction through being responsive in a timely and effective manner for any queries from the client. Specific Skills Required Specific Language requirements - English Good working knowledge of FIDIC contracts or similar Specific industry and project experience – Mega projects Requirements for driving licenses Mandatory Professional Certifications Under general supervision, performs routine duties. Displays knowledge and abilities to evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications. Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details of work. Independently performs walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and design. Performs quantity surveys for tracking and reporting. May provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors. Minimum Requirements Minimum 15+ years of experience in design and delivery of large-scale building projects within the consulting industry (preferable). Membership of recognized professional institutions Should be a chartered engineer or working towards International working experience – UAE/UK/KSA Two positions for civil, electrical and structural, one each for construction delivery and as technical lead Preferred Qualifications Bachelor Degree in relevant Engineering field (i.e. Civil, Electrical, Structural etc
