Job Description and Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level without supervision.
Uses independent judgment and initiative to obtain the radiographs for the prescribed examinations.
Uses suitable working practices to ensure that all radiation protection regulations are complied with.
Aids the radiologist in the administration of contrast media;
Responsible for the delegated areas of responsibility or specific procedures as assigned.
Observes all infection control standards laid down in policy documents, particularly in respect of sterile procedures.
EDUCATION
Bachelor in Radiologic Technology or its equivalent from a recognized institute/college
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two years practice in an acute care facility.
Specialized Knowledge/Experience/Skills
Practical experience in MRI/CT for at least one year in an acute care facility.
