Duties and Responsibilities: -Cleans,dusts,polishes and maintains all furnishings in a sanitary manner. -Dust mops, wet mops the floor in ofllces, patient areas, bathrooms, public toilets, examination rooms, corridors, stairways, elevators and all other tiles and marble surfaces within the hospital. -Cleans the porcelain and stainless steel sinks,toilets, bathrubs, b idets and shower stalls in designated areas. -Cleans the interior glass and windows. -Scrubs,strips,applies floor finish and spray buff to all vinyl filled floors. Scrubs all marble floors. -Vacuums, pot cleans and shampoos all carpeted areas as designated. -Collects all trash in an assigned area and cleans waste receptacles. -Ensures that infectious and other hazardous waste is removed and handled in the prescribed manner as laid down in the departmental policy and procedure guide. -Dust the walls, doors, air vents, overhead pipes etc as designated. -Removes and replace curtains, cubicle curtains and shower curtains as required. -Operates all related housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaners, wet and dry floor buffers, carpet shampooers, extractor and automatic scrubbing macntnes. -Moves the fumiture and various pieces of department related equipment as designated. -Replenishes various supplies in an assigned area such as toilet paper,papertowels, and liquid soap. -Performs other duties/task within the realm of individual’s knowledse skills and abilities. as reouired.

-Good standard of communication skills in English. Education: Housekeeper
