Job Description and Requirements Role Summary: The Senior Procurement Specialist will be reporting directly to the Procurement Section Head and will be responsible for delivering results in regard to on-time performance, cost savings, quality as well as making sure all the procurement activities are carried out on time within the cost. Achieving SAR’s objectives and expectations and compliance with established policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities will include: • Reviewing the current supply chain market status. • Developing procurement strategies with workstream leads. • Assisting and compiling initial long and shortlists of vendors/suppliers. • Running and managing the procurement process. • Understanding of procurement concepts, standards, and practices as applied in the engineering and construction industry. • Delivering project processes and relationship expectations with suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and the project team. • Being the focal point of contact for all matters relating to the acquisition of goods and services for a project during the proposal process. • Providing the necessary written, graphics, and pricing/cost information in support of the proposal process. • Providing preliminary risk assessment related to the procurement activities assumed by the proposed prime contract. • Assessing the mitigation of risk assumed by the proposed prime contract. • Participating in the development of programme and procurement execution plans. • Ensuring full compliance with the PMO s procurement policies and procedures • Assisting in maintaining the performance metrics to measure the performance of the programme with regard to cost savings, on-time performance, and quality of goods and services. • Assisting in the resolution of the purchase order and disputes. Qualifications Engineering Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Industrial or relevant discipline Experience 5- 8 years of relevant experience in sourcing and full cycle of procurement management |
