Job Description and Requirements
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering, Finance, or Economics (or closely related fields); MBA is highly desired.
you will have fifteen years of experience in the petrochemical industry with a significant portion in commercial activities.
Awareness of competitive product capabilities of major petrochemical processes.
Deep knowledge of the Polyethylene, Propylene, Aromatics, and/or Butadiene value chains.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to preform the following:
•Strategic Planning
Participate in developing short-term and long-term chemicals strategies.
Develop targets toward achieving strategic objectives.
Evaluate company progress toward reaching strategic objectives.
Develop criteria for evaluating opportunities/projects/initiatives for strategic fit.
Evaluate opportunities/projects/initiatives for strategic fit.
•Develop Market Strategies:
Analyze and develop recommendations regarding participation in product markets.
Analyze and develop recommendations regarding participation in geographic markets.
Analyze technology acquisition options and develop recommendations.
Analyze and develop recommendations regarding competitors.
Develop recommendations on product portfolio and value chains.
•Business Development
Identify and develop new business opportunities and initiatives.
Develop evaluation criteria, and use agreed criteria to evaluate and prioritize new business opportunities.
Evaluate potential M&A;targets and/or JV partners for strategic fit.
•Risk Management
Implement risk management methodologies and framework.
Identify, prioritize, and develop response strategies to risk factors.
Liaise with diverse internal and external stakeholders on the development of Petrochemical projects.
