Management of External Design Service Providers:
• Identify, select, evaluate and manage external design services providers, vendors, consultants as necessary to obtain a high quality and cost-effective service.
• Attend and participate in the vendor selection committee to review and approve quotations, timeframe, costs, functionality, quality assurance to meet Raza’s development projects standards and ensure the documentation of design procurement cycle is aligned with procurement policy standards.
• Manage service providers design projects through all project stages by monitoring progress and quality to approve the functionality and technical specifications provided by vendors to ensure project objectives are accomplished as agreed.
Design Management
• Lead the planning, organizing, management and control of design projects to ensure that projects cycle is completed and agreed project parameters, standards and objectives are met.
• Oversee the progress of design projects against budgeted costs, quality, timelines, standards to ensure that the project specifications and approved parameters are met.
Safety, Quality & Environment:
• Apply and monitor safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products / service and a responsible environmental attitude.
Risk Management
• Identify and manage the project risks presented by contractor(s) and consultant(s) or due to quality of raw materials, timely sourcing, delivery and cost of items procured etc. to institute risk avoidance, risk mitigation or risk sharing measures.
Continuous Improvement
• Direct and review the continuous improvement of project management practices considering ‘international best practice’, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.
Leadership
• Provide leadership in project management setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal to maximise subordinate and functional performance in the pursuit of project management objectives.
Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports
• Lead the development of design function policies, systems, processes and procedures to ensure the consistent application and ease of operations for stakeholders.
• Ensure the timely completion of all design function initiatives and reports in compliance with Raza’s business standards.
المهارات
Qualifications
• University degree in engineering.
• Proficiency in architecture and design related software / program.
Experience
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction and development design, preferably in the real estate or property development industry.
• Minimum of 3 years as the head of design function in a real estate development organization.
Skills and competencies
• Management, risk management, analytical, time management, multi-tasking, problem solving, decision making, negotiation, application of international standards, excellent communication and interpersonal, financial awareness, engineering project costing, project management, quality, safety and environmental systems.
