Objective:
- To control all or a section of the fire protection on site works to ensure they are completed on time, technically correct in accordance with the project approvals and specifications and accepted by the supervising engineer.
- Co-ordinate the works with the Contractor and other sub-contractors at site.
- Ensure that all materials at site are protected and installed without damage.
- Ensure all works are completed on time to the specified quality, inspected and accepted by the client.
- Ensure the project labor budget is achieved.
- Eliminate reportable accidents at site.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Participate where required in all aspects of the project management for the fire protection works.
- Manage and supervises the on-site fire protection works.
- Undertake the detailed short term planning and coordination at site in accordance with the master program.
- Ensure that all information is available to undertake the works.
- Ensure materials are available at site to undertake the works.
- Ensure all materials are correctly stored at site and installed without damage.
- Arrange the required tools and equipment to be available at site.
- Control of the quality and technical correctness of the installation in accordance with the project quality assurance plan.
- Ensure that the works are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with the project safety plan.
- Allocate the workforce to areas of the site based on the programed, nature of the works and the skills required.
- Coordinate with the main contractor and other subcontractors at site.
- Set targets and monitors the productivity of the workforce at site.
- Arrange skills development and training for the foremen and site workforce.
- Monitor the production and quality of sub-contractors works at site.
- Identify additional works at site and advises the Project Engineer.
- Identify delays at site and notifies the Project Engineer.
- Implement the inspection and test plan and obtains the supervising engineers approval at each stage of the works.
- Maintain records of the changes to the working drawings to enable the record drawings to be produced.
- Manage the system cleaning, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
المهارات
Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a reputed University.
6 years on site experience with at least 3 years in a similar position. Experience in the KSA/UAE/GCC.
Other requirements and competences:
- Detailed knowledge of the codes, engineering and installation of fire protection for infrastructure, commercial and light industrial buildings. AO53:AP53
- Site management skills to lead a team of foremen, tradesmen and sub-contractors.
- Knowledge of the overall construction processes and operating practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and the Indian sub-continent languages both orally and in writing. Knowledge of spoken Arabic would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of the international standards, KSA and/or GCC regulations and codes of practice.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- An active personality, able to interact freely with his peers.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and management principals.
- Ability to use spreadsheet, database and word processing computer systems.
Languages and levels: Fluent in written and spoken English and the Indian subcontinent languages.
TRANSFERABLE IQAMA
Preberable Indian, Pakistani nationality
