Qualifications:
Degree in a relevant STEM subject / HND / HNC level.
Chartered or approaching chartered member of a relevant Q or HSE professional body.
Minimum of 5 years relevant Q and HSE experience.
Have or be able to obtain necessary security clearance.
Experience and Skills:
Essential:
Be a competent professional in wither Quality or HSE and have a sound and board awareness of the other discipline area.
Experience of working in integrated teams and in a collaborative environment.
Experience of working with other entities, customers and a supply chain.
Examples of managing others on the HSE aspects of project delivery.
Examples of working with and promoting the use of a Quality Management System.
Demonstrable stakeholder interface experience and capability with strong influencing skills including ability to build effective relationships and influence others.
Familiar with the suite of JSP documentation.
Proven understanding and application of CDM.
Understanding the application of fire risk assessments and implementation of mitigation actions.
Experience of applying method statements and working practices for O+M activities in the field.
Dissemination and monitoring of processes and plans through a supply chain.
Desirable:
Experience of working in a collaborative environment.
Experience of working in a secure environment.
Knowledge of the Facilities Management, IT or Delivery Partner industries.
Experience of delivering training on Q or HSE applications.
4. Core Responsibilities and Duties
General:
The QHSE reps will provide a pivotal role that brings together the Quality management and the HSE management aspects in the regions and through the delivery teams in the field. They are responsible for ensuring that all activities are compliant with the client, customer and KBRs expectations and requirements. These roles have the devolved responsibility for ensuring all tasks, actions and instructions are completed in compliance with the cultural, functional, contractual and legal requirements.
The role will interface with entities in the region including supply chain partners, customers, SANG and MoD, through:
MoD Liaison officers and SANG regional managers
Regional office managers
Supply Chain regional representatives
KBR GS EMEA Functional Manager for QHSE.
Specific:
The QHSE reps will be responsible for advising, monitoring and controlling compliance with the relevant JSPs and the instructions and interpretations from their line managers.
Identifying HSE risks, issues and opportunities for improvement and promoting them into KBR senior managers.
Educating people as to how HSE risk is managed and assisting with risk mitigation planning and establishing interdependencies.
Undertaking HSE audits as instructed.
Develop and disseminate HSE policy in line with Authority, KBR and industry good practice.
Implement the safety management system, work methods and guidelines for safe operation across the project.
Monitor and champion good practice and sharing lessons learnt and improvements across the regions.
Cascade safety induction and safety awareness briefings in accordance with JSP 375.
Monitor and record regional safety performance.
Provide reporting and status of Q and HSE compliance into the MIS.
Support the KBR values of Zero Harm and Courage to Care through the project.
Cascade the QMS and monitor adherence and any divergences.
Engage with supply chain partners to adopt and implement the QMS.
Undertake audits for compliance with the QMS.
Support the Safety Officer and the Contract Quality Manager.
