Position Description
Support the Local Content Head in local content related activities to ensure the development of a globally competitive and economically sustainable local renewable energy supply chain that serves both domestic and export markets
• Support in the formulation of the Local Content function’s vision and mission
• Adopt the Local Content’s processes, procedures, systems and frameworks in all related activities
• Develop and effectively transfer knowledge to the local content junior team
• Report to the Local Content Head and other relevant stakeholders on the allocated local content activities
• Support in the formulation the local content strategies, targets and action plans
• Define local content calculation methodology based on best practices and by engaging with the Local Content and Private Sector Development Unit (LCPSD)
• Amend, as deemed necessary, the local content strategies, targets and action plans based on feedback collected from relevant stakeholders (i.e., Principal Buyer, Developers, Manufacturers, etc.)
• Support in the engagement with relevant ecosystem stakeholders to drive implementation of work plans and operationalize the government incentives
• Review developers’ local content plans and provide input as required
• Develop data protocols, IT systems and tools to streamline data collection
• Analyze data and identify key local content insights
• Ensure developer compliance with local content plans and targets (audits, site visits, etc.)
• Manage the development of the local content “Supply Chain Portal”
المهارات
• University degree in engineering, science, or economics, preferably in renewable energy, electrical or civil engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in local content development
• Experience in country-level local content agendas
• Excellent written and spoken English
