Position Description
The Renewable Energy Project Development Office (REPDO) is seeking a Project Development Engineer to work within the Project Pre-development Unit.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide technical support for the development of projects across Saudi Arabia.
• Supervision of technical consultants and technical verification of reports.
• Responsible for the screening, selection and development of sites for Wind plants.
• Management of screening, evaluation and presentation of site resource data.
• Responsible for the conceptual design, modeling and initial energy yield forecast for Wind plant locations.
• Managing input and updating of project data into GIS.
• Drafting the performance specifications and employers’ requirements for the construction and operation of Wind plants.
• Evaluation of vendors and vendor proposals
• Project budget estimation and optimization to support project financial analysis.
المهارات
• University degree (or equivalent) in engineering or science, preferably in renewable energy, electrical or civil engineering.
• Previous experience working overseas, preferably in the Middle East and ideally in Saudi Arabia.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Track record of supervising technical consultants.
• At least 5 years of experience in project engineering for the development of Wind projects.
• Strong technical background in the specification, conceptual design and modelling of Wind plants.
• Conducting surveys, studies and assessments to secure necessary project permits, agreements, rights and contracts
