CYBER SECURITY CONSULTANT
Our client is a leading worldwide Defence and Security provider, looking for Cyber Security Engineer to answer to a national security challenges. Will need to be a competent problem solver and a creative thinker to develop high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Work Experience:
• 3 years experience in developing Cybersecurity strategies, plans, and roadmaps to solve organizational level security problems
• 5 years experience in developing Cybersecurity architecture and technical solutions (Firewalls, IDS, Endpoint Protection, SIEM).
• Strong Network and IT background• Previous experience in cyber security technical evaluation (vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, etc.)• Solid knowledge of both international and regional standards and frameworks (e.g. ISO27, NIST, ADSIC, NESA, Dubai ISR).• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.• Ability to synthesize and analyze multiple views and data sets.• Ability to be multi-task with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment

• Provide a focal point for resolution of security and information risk matters, and manages delivery of projects.• Create new ways to solve existing production security issues• Configure and install firewalls and intrusion detection systems• Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses and security assessments• Develop automation scripts to handle and track incidents• Investigate intrusion incidents, conduct forensic investigations and mount incident responses• Collaborate with colleagues on authentication, authorization and encryption solutions• Evaluate new technologies and processes that enhance security capabilities• Test security solutions using industry standard analysis criteria• Deliver technical reports and formal papers on test findings• Respond to information security issues during each stage of a project’s lifecycle• Supervise changes in software, hardware, facilities, telecommunications and user needs• Define, implement and maintain corporate security policies• Analyze and advise on new security technologies and program conformance• Recommend modifications in legal, technical and regulatory areas that affect IT security• Develop security programs, strategies, and frameworks with associated KPIs.• Develop Risk Assessment/Management processes and execute them, communicate findings to different stakeholders.• Devise, present and implement risk treatment options.• Evaluate compliance with applicable regulations, standards and policies.• Develop security policies and procedures.• Develop Business Continuity Planning, plans and procedures.• Develop and review technical architectures and conduct systems and network security strategic planning.• Develop and conduct technical assessment such as vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.• Capture new trends in technology and Cyber security, translate into go-to market capabilities, and provide regular guidance on emerging threats and best practices internally and externally.• Ensure cyber security awareness is formally promoted and effective• Seek further cyber security opportunities whilst on customer assignment.• Reporting also to the Head of Digital Transformation for the Middle East.
Preferred
• IDS/IPS, penetration and vulnerability testing• Firewall and intrusion detection/prevention protocols• Secure coding practices, ethical hacking and threat modeling• Windows, UNIX and Linux operating systems• Virtualization technologies• MySQL/MSSQL database platforms• Identity and access management principles• Application security and encryption technologies• Secure network architectures• Subnetting, DNS, encryption technologies and standards, VPNs, VLANs, VoIP and other network routing methods• Network and web related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols, etc.)• Advanced Persistent Threats (APT), phishing and social engineering, network access controllers (NAC), gateway anti-malware and enhanced authentication
Other Skills:
• Previous experience in Consulting/Professional services.• Previous experience in Critical infrastructure, SCADA, and security environments.• Previous experience in GCC.• Fluent in Arabic.
• Excellent English Skills spoken and written
• Previous experience in BCP/DRA.
