Niagara College, widely regarded as one of Canada’s most innovative applied learning post-secondary institutions, has expanded its international reach through four satellite campuses located in Saudi Arabia. With a strategic focus on developing “world-ready and work-ready” graduates, the campuses specialize in delivering a number of diploma programs in the areas of Tourism, Event Management, Hospitality, Business, Occupational Health & Safety, Graphic Design, IT, and a Foundation Program for English language development.
Applications are invited for the position of IT Infrastructure Coordinator at Niagara College KSA, Corporate Office in Riyadh. Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT, the IT Infrastructure Coordinator is responsible for operations of secure and highly available computing platforms, servers, and networks in all NC KSA campuses. In addition, the IT Infrastructure Coordinator installs, maintains, upgrades, and continuously improves the NC KSA operating environments and maintains the ongoing reliability, performance and support of the infrastructure. This includes the monitoring of operating environments and the coordination of standardized operation across NC KSA data centers, responding to major incidents, problems, and planning for growth.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Deploys the release of new technologies as well as designs, installs, configures, maintains, and performs testing of PC/server operating systems, networks, and related utilities and hardware
Generates and validates IT system and network/telecom baselines, including validation or creation of documentations
Coordinates and works on multiple cross-functional base work initiatives and projects
Diagnoses and resolves complex hardware, software, and connectivity problems
Implements and maintains a standardized secure systems environment at all NC KSA campuses
Ensures that the IT system security baselines are met and security improvements are implemented across the NC KSA server environments
Analyzes data by monitoring activities and defines comprehensive system-wide improvements
Provides infrastructure solutions based on application needs and anticipated growth
Supports multiple systems or applications of medium to high complexity (defined by size, technology used, and system feeds and interfaces) with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity, and accessibility
Monitors performance and proactively identifies uptime issues; creates recommendations for solutions
Maintains an up-to-date inventory of a variety of IT equipment and similar activities across all campuses and corporate office
Monitors Technology Component Performance or LAN, WAN, Wireless, DAS/telecom system
Works with vendors and architects to understand their technology roadmaps
Reports security issues when appropriate and gathers required information
Makes recommendations to improve security and participates in investigations, as needed
Contributes to IT policies, procedures, and standards
Reports on security updates, patching, and antivirus applications
Analyzes storage system behavior and baselines to resolve complex IO problems
This position is based in Riyadh but requires frequent travel to NC KSA satellite campuses andoffices (Taif, Makkah, Madinah, Al Majma’ah, and Al Ahsa)
The successful applicant will require the following qualifications, at a minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognized university; a Master’s Degree is considered an asset
Minimum of five (5) years of related work experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a postsecondary institution
Certification in CCENT, CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE is required
Excellent proficiencies in various Windows Operating Systems as well as Linux. Protocols such as TCP/IP, HHTP, DNS, FTP. Utilities Software such as Visio, FTP Clients, GNS3 and CISCO Packet Tracer. Also, must have the skills to work with Switching components such as VLAN,load balancers, STP, EthernetChannel and 802.1q
Excellent Skills required in CISCO Catalyst Switches and Routers as well as Networking TCP/IP, Routing and VMWare
Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Arabic and English
Ability to travel and work across all NC KSA locations (Taif, Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, Al Majma’ah, and Al Ahsa) and use a strong customer service orientation to ensure that all service requests and incidents are resolved in a professional manner
Must possess time management skills which vary from, but not limited to, prioritizing tasks,planning, scheduling, organizing and delegating functions and assignments
Must be a strong team player; must possess the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues,instructors, and administrative staff across all NC KSA campuses and offices
Ability to work with other technical staff and vendors to provide the required IT services
