Control Room Operator for big co in Saudi Arabia

Profile:
The Control Room Operator role will require detailed understanding and practical experience of the technologies associated with the operation of modern Gas Turbine, Desalination and a wide range of Auxiliary plant

The post holder will be expected to be a self starter with the ability to maintain high levels of focused drive and energy who can work well with others towards the achievement of specific goals and objectives.

Core Competencies

Technical

• Understanding of modern gas turbine plant operating parameters and practices
• Understanding of modern desalinated water plant operating parameters and practices
• Ability to operate the plant efficiently within a varying range of load conditions
• Ability to control incidents in a range of situations
• Anticipating and responding effectively to the operational demands on the station
• Practical knowledge of power plant electrical systems and electrical protection systems.
• Practical knowledge of plant isolation from system
• Knowledge of local environmental legislation and principles of management
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate with external organization
• Commercial awareness
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and company safety rules
• Computer literacy
• Good command of English language

Experience:
Previous employment will have provided a minimum of 5 years experience in the operating of modern Gas Turbine and Desalination plant.

Education

An engineering related education to diploma level is the minimum requirement.
