Accountant

Support monthly closing process as directed by business and aggressive corporate timing guidelines
- Assist and provide required financial information to successfully complete all internal, external and tax audits and quarterly reviews
- Support implementation of an ORACLE integrated business systems environment
- Maintain an effective system of internal control in order to monitor compliance with policies and procedures established by corporate and local management
- Perform duties and assignments as required related to the operation of the accounting organization (i.e. account reconciliation’s)
- Build standard costs for new parts
- Analyze material variance for performance and economics
- Perform monthly perpetual inventory analysis
- Record, report and explain variances from standard costs
- Record cost of goods sold
- Record, report and explain scrap and other usage charges
- Record standard direct labor and burden charges
- Bill for freight and misc charges. Reconcile all company activities

- Distribute accounting and cost information to other staffs when needed
- Work cross functionally with Mfg/Engineering/Materials/IT/HR in business meetings
- Work as a team player with operational and functional counterparts to support and drive business value
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Effective Self-Directed, Multi-Task contributor to handle daily, monthly, yearly project cycles
- Performance oriented approach to meet critical results and timing targets
- Professional casual overtime expected for project completion
- Work elements encompass accounting and cost accounting knowledge
- Maintain an inventory with minimal shrink
- Maintain detailed, accurate records
- Will be required to use advanced PC skills PowerPoint Presentation, Excel, Word, etc..

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS
Accounting Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Cost accounting experience
Knowledge in Marketing is an asset
