الوصف الوظيفي 1.Performs techniques to aid in the comfort and well-being of the patients. 2.Provides treatment using therapeutic equipment. 3.Prepares patient environment and equipment for orthopaedic procedures. 4.Bivalves casts, window casts, removes casts as per Physician’s order. 5.May apply repeat casts, splints, and adjust traction to healing orthopaedic injuries. 6.Ensures completed work is checked by Attending Physician. 7.May apply casts, splints, traction apparatus to new orthopaedic injuries in presence of Physician. 8.Assists Physician with the following: -Wedging of casts. -Application of skeletal traction, including buck traction, skin - traction, halter traction, balanced suspension traction, Bryants /Gallows traction and pelvic traction. -Application of Halo Brace. -Application of skull traction. -Positions patients on Bohler Braun frames, Stryker frames and Circo-electric beds. -Fits patients with lumbar supports and knee immobilizers. -Applies body braces. 9.Recognizes changes in sensation, temperature, and movement of limbs. 10.Reports changes to professional nurse–in-charge and consulting Orthopedic Surgeon. 11.Initiates appropriate interventions as per Physician’s order. 12.Inspects all casts and traction set-ups daily and p.r.m. and reports condition to Charge Nurse. 13.Documents all patient care activities and assessments on appropriate nursing records. 14.Understand and observes isolation precautions. 15.Recognizes need for and performs CPR in case of emergency. 16.Maintains clean and tidy environment. 17.Cleans Orthopaedic Cart and instruments after each use. 18.Maintains cleanliness and neatness of traction/cast rooms. 19.Attends on all units including O.R. and Recovery as required for Orthopaedic Patient needs. 20.Provides patient education re: orthopaedic devices, casts, etc. 21.Any other duties and responsibilities within the realm of his training and experience, as directed by the Orthopedic Surgeon. المهارات Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. 2. Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner. 7. Ability to communicate effectively , both orally and in writing . 8. Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients , physicians, or others in a professional manner. 9. Physical requirements and environmental conditions. 10. Working irregular hours including call hours. 11.
