Duties and Responsibilities

1.Ensures procurement, compounding, and dispensing of medications by subordinate personnel.

2.Establishes and maintains a variety of records related to Pharmacy Activities, as required by the Laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

3.Ensures proper maintenance of Pharmacy stock inventory in his unit.

4.Co-ordinates and develops Quality Assurance Programs for his/her unit under the guidance of the Chief Pharmacist.

5.Participates in Hospital In-service Educational Programs related to drug usage and distribution. Encourages Staff Personnel to attend outside educational workshops to update their knowledge in the pharmaceutical field.

6.Performs Drug Utilization Review studies in collaboration with the Clinical Pharmacist.

7.Performs other duties within the realm of his qualifications and experience as directed by Chief Pharmacist.
